1st Workshop about human rights education was held at Gulistan Hotel Kotli on 20th to 21th March 2011. Total number of participants was 30.

Trainers were: Sarmad Yasin, Usama Arcum Zafar, Adeel Mumtaz.

  1. This workshop has been organized to aware the citizens of Kotli about their Rights, Roles and Responsibilities towards their society. Citizens must know their own rights and responsibilities because if they want to protect their own rights they should respect the rights of others.

Purposes of conducting workshop:

  1. People are entirely ignorant about the concept of Human Rights. Most of the people think and believe that their rights are superior then others and their responsibilities are less than others.
  2. People don’t accept and respect others opinion. Their behavior toward other’s opinion is harsh and sometimes unbearabl
    It was necessary to conduct the workshops that the people would be well aware of their rights as well as their responsibilities. So that they implement their learning in practical life and become a good citizen.

    1. The issues that we had addressed in HUMAN RIGHTS workshop were Child Rights, Discrimination and Xenophobia, Social Rights. These are the issues that are faced by almost everyone on routine days.
